What license should work done by Amybo be placed under?

Just wanted to mention here that a NC clause would mean that it’s not open source anymore.

I created a Printables account for AMYBO and uploaded both @RobJ 's and @SandrineH 's designs. I licensed them both as CC-BY as they’re both remixes of CC-BY designs. Please let me know if there’s anything I should change or add!

I also created an AMYBO.org Printables group that anyone can join.

Regarding how AMYBO would license any strains that are developed and submitted for regulatory approval, I’d like to suggest the BiOS license.

I came across the wikipedia page for PatentLeft this morning, which is analogous to copyleft (like GPL) and used by BiOS (Biological Innovation for Open Society):

TransBacter is available to all non-profit researchers and institutes upon signing a BiOS MTA. For-profit companies are asked to sign a BiOS license and to make a contribution to Cambia which is calculated on the company’s financial means.

More details here: BiOS Agreements FAQs – Cambia

This is brilliant - thanks Gerrit - it’s great to see there’s a precedent that we can quote. I’ve checked out their docs and registration and Cambia seem solid.
